JOHN 1:1-18 (NIV) THE WORD BECAME FLESH
"In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God."
He was with God in the beginning.
Through Him all things were made; without Him
nothing was made that has been made. In Him was
life,
and that life was the light of men. The light
shines in the darkness, but the darkness has
not understood
it. There came a man who was sent from God; his
name was John. He came as a witness to testify
concerning that light, so that through him all
men might believe. He himself was not the light;
he came only as a witness to the light. The true
light that gives light to every man was coming
into the
world.
He was in the world, and though
the world was made through Him, the world did
not recognize Him. He came to that which was
his own, but
his own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received
Him, to those who believed in his name, He gave
the right to become
children of God, children born not of natural
descent, nor of human decision or a husband's
will, but born
of God.

Word and you will always
find the truth." |

The Word became flesh and made
his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,
the glory of the One and Only, who came from
the Father,
full of grace and truth. John testifies concerning
Him. He cries out, saying, "This
was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after
me has surpassed me because he was before
me.” From the
fullness of his grace we have all received one
blessing after another. For the law was given
through Moses; grace and truth came through
Jesus Christ.
No one has ever seen God, but
God the One and Only, who is at the Father's
side, has made Him known.”
The Body of Christ is a special unique family
and as we come to the communion table we should
always remember the sacrifice Jesus made for
us on the Cross.
Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV) “Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with
all your
soul and with all your mind. This is the first
and greatest commandment. And the second is like
it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus Christ is Lord.
Jesus transcends denominations, organizations
churches. And although we function
as local bodies we know that God is in control
of all. Christianity is not a philosophy, it
is an absolute belief in the one true God. Hebrews
13:8 (NIV) “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday
and today and forever.” Unfortunately we
live in a culture where truth is relative and
normal is anything goes.
However these words come
right from God: John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way
and the truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.” The truth of
Jesus Christ is for the whole world. John 3:16
(NIV) "For God so
loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The gospel of Jesus Christ
is the truth. Study and reflect on God’s
Word and you will always find the truth. God
is the creator of
the universe. Scientists, evolutionists and others
try and dispute this but we stand on the word
of God. There is much spiritual darkness in the
world.
Even we Christians struggle with the flesh and
the Devil and as everyone knows in darkness we
tend to grope around. We go to our jobs, have
many different social activities, watch TV, and
go to sporting events but so many of us lack
real direction and meaning in our lives. People
need Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives.
At times we tend to keep all the earthly rules
but lack true spiritual direction; we are lacking
the presence of God in our lives.
Many times we Christians will allow our prejudices
and preconceptions to get in the way of our relationship
with the Lord. But we should always remember
that even though we may get into all kinds of
trouble, we can always come back to the Lord;
we repent and call upon the Lord and He forgives
our sins completely and sets us free to start
again.
Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV) “Because of
the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for
His compassions never fail. They are new every
morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to
myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore
I will wait for Him."
Jesus came at exactly the right time. He broke
into history and came out of Love into our humanity.
The world had a visitation-this was the incarnation.
Jesus is the most notable figure in the world.
He is the God man, fully human, fully divine.
Jesus the God man who came to take on every last
sin of ours, to set us free from our burdens
and our addictions, to give us a picture of heaven
on earth; and to assure us of a place in the
kingdom of heaven for all eternity.
The communion table is
all about the glory of Jesus. We rely on and
need God’s grace
every single day. We celebrate and revel in the
glory of God. We are here today because of the
grace of God. And in receiving this incredible
Grace in our lives we must make this Grace available
to others. Jesus is Lord forever and ever. The
Lord’s truth will always prevail. We come
to the table of grace by faith. It is our love
relationship with Jesus that leads us to this
table. He gives us every spiritual blessing.
Ephesians 1:3 (NIV) “Praise
be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has
blessed us in the heavenly realms with every
spiritual blessing in Christ.”
John 10:10 (NKJV) “I
have come that they may have life, and that
they may have it more
abundantly.”
We are truly and absolutely
blessed by a loving God. Rest in God and seek
Him first in all that
you are, in all that you say and in all that
you do-John 8:36 (NIV) “So if the Son sets
you free, you will be free indeed.” AMEN!
